About Us

In September of 2000, Dave Frampton took his 10 years of experience in the construction industry and built on it. Now, after completeing hundreds of jobs-ranging in value from $200.00 to $5 million- that foundation of experience is the concrete base of a solid workforce. Partnering with his wife, Caytie Frampton, they created DAYT Construction as a combination of their strengths-DAve and caYTie = DAYT. In the fall of 2001, they completed their first job as an official contracting company: AccuScan Health Imaging was a huge success and enabled their work to move full-time.

Dave has over 15 years in the construction industry, ranging from a basic laborer to superintendent/project manager. Now, as an owner of DAYT, he does a little of everything. He consistently ensures subcontractor excellence, efficiency among his own workforce, and customer satisfaction in every aspect of each project.

Highlights of Dave’s career focus not only the projects he has completed but also on the relationships he has forged with his clients. Some of these include Mike Huish on the AccuScan Health Imaging, Artoosh Hasratian on the El Matador Restaurant, Michael Jedlowski on 4 Ashley Furniture Homestores (in Salt Lake City, Ut; Layton, Ut, Draper, Ut, and Las Vegas, Ut). He also has worked hand-in-hand with Dan and Kim Huish on too many projects to name...

Another strength of DAYT Construction is Dave’s capability to succeed on very challenging projects. Some of these were the Parker International building (on Pierpont Street in Salt Lake City - an older building DAYT restored and made structurally sound), the 90,000 sq. ft. William Volker Building (in Salt Lake City), the Ameritrade portion of the Judge Building (also in downtown Salt Lake City), and the DKH Aircraft Hangar (in Wy).

With an MA in Organizational Management and a BS in Human Development (Spanish Minor), Matt has worked in the construction industry since 1995-including residential and commercial construction and project management. Matt joined our company in 2006. Since then, he has served as a project manager, transformed our processes to make them more effective and customer-friendly.

With nearly 10 years of experience in the construction industry, Gabe is one of our key superintendents. He has a background in every aspect of the industry, from windows to heavy equipment, custom kitchens to electrical. Because of this diverse history, he has the expertise to ensure a quality product every time. Our clients appreciate his organizational abilities and customer-focused attitude. He is an expert an managing subcontractors, ensuring efficient scheduling, and of meeting critical milestones. Though a relatively new member of our crew (since 2009), Gabe has quickly become one of our greatest assets.

Caytie Frampton

With a BS in Biology, Caytie has an eye for detail. She manages the day-to-day finances and necessary details of the company. Often found working late at night in order to keep up with both her children and her workload, Caytie has put much into the company as the team wearing the tool belts.
